I’m especially fond of creative mavericks who have chosen to leave behind conventional existence in search of their true creative inner north, interior-design-wise.

My greatest joy is facilitating that shift, starting with your space, because I know that inner liberation will surely follow.

Before you know it, you'll go from secretly tapping your foot under the table to proudly twirling atop it (barefoot please, because you’d better not scratch that sacred marble!).

Residential

Creating a home can feel like a daunting puzzle. Balancing a multitude of functional needs, capturing the diverse personalities that make up a household, and resisting the pull of fleeting trends in favor of something real, raw, and personal—it's no small task. And then there’s the challenge of bringing it all to life. But fear not!

I’m all about injecting soul into any space—whether it's a new build, a "recently renovated but not my vibe" home, or a property simply begging for a refresh. I specialise in maximising spatial perception and enhancing functionality with clever layout tweaks, all while avoiding the chaos of extensive renovations—if that's what you prefer.

With my client-centric approach, I delve deep into the heart of your story, channeling your essence to create contemporary, imaginative spaces that awaken your creative genius and unleash your boundless potential.

Experiential

Oh sh*t, managing a commercial space can be a whole new ball game! From creating an inviting atmosphere that draws customers in to designing a unique environment that reflects your brand, it’s a lot to juggle.

Whether you are transitioning your online brand from the digital realm to a physical storefront, crafting standout boutique hospitality destinations or creating an empowering creative space for your team to flourish and make moves in, you've come to the right place.

With an intuitive understanding of my clients' visions, years of brand building experience, and a combination of psychology and aesthetics in my back pocket, I create immersive and unforgettable sensory environments that take my clients one step closer towards their dreams.

Through her remote consultation service, Judith didn't just listen to my whims, she turned them into a beautifully curated reality. Joey M., Remote Consultation

  • Judith did an outstanding job decorating Harry's room. The age-appropriate decor strikes a perfect balance, creating a welcoming space for both relaxation and socializing. The thoughtful organization of the closet and storage areas ensures functionality without compromising aesthetics. The work space is well-designed, providing a conducive environment for productivity. The choice of colors reflects a timeless style, and the laminate flooring adds practicality by making the room easy to clean.

    Daphline A., “A Marvelous Odyssey”

  • Judith exceeded all expectations with her interior design for the refugee project. She went above and beyond to create a home that seamlessly balanced functional design with countless moments of joy for the family. Leveraging all her connections and resources while being unafraid to be hands-on throughout, the outcome was nothing short of remarkable. The family was brought to tears upon their arrival, a testament to the heart and soul Judith invested into her work on the project. Judith is an incredible creative and interior designer. Thank you for always creating beautiful spaces!

 FAQs

  • Interior design is such a personal thing. It's vital to find a designer that you vibe with visually, as well as personally. It's that initial "click" that means so much from a project management perspective. Our initial consultation is where I get familiar with you, and your hopes for the project. Based on our conversation, I will also walk you through my process and what I think the best approach to your project would be, so you know exactly what to expect if we decide to make magic together.

  • Having navigated more than 20 moves throughout my life, I empathise deeply with fellow creative dreamers embarking on their own unique journeys. Like many seeking a meaningful career, I have resided in homes resembling Jerry's humble Mouse-abode, tucked behind skirting boards and evading Tom's prying paws. In spaces with low ceilings, scarce storage, and awkward corners, I see not obstacles, but opportunities for design magic. In fact, I consider Ssmall to mid-size, multifunctional spaces my speciality!

  • Yes, absolutely! I have worked on a number of projects in Canada, the USA, Europe and across the UK. While I’m happy to travel to wherever you are, if necessary, there is also the option of working with me on a remote basis. This involves a lot more input from your side (you will have to measure your own space, for example), but I have developed elaborate methods that will empower you to implement the designs confidently. And should you hit a roadblock along the way, I’m always just a phone call away.

  • What deliverables I will provide to you depends on the scope of the project that we agree upon at the initial consultation. For example, if you are only looking for help with design and sourcing, I will not be helping you with project and site management or installation and styling. Below is a list of some of the deliveries you can expect:

    • Moodboards + tangible samples

    • 2D floorplans + 3D Elevations where necessary

    • Bespoke Furniture + Installation designs

    • FF&E Procurement

    • Project Management

    • Logistics & Site Managements

    • 1:1 Consultations

    • Installation & Styling

  • From my own experience, I know that furniture goes far beyond the practical and is imbued with memories. I love nothing more than to incorporate existing items, finding out of the box ways of breathing new life into them and incorporating them into your interior scheme in a way that maximises space and functionality, while adding those layers of meaning and history.

  • I've witnessed first hand how the nuances of architecture, light and budget can cause a project to stall. My virtual design consultations are ideal:

    • If you have an idea of what you want but need some assurance whether it’s going to work.

    • If you have an ongoing project and need a sounding board to discuss the many decisions that need to be made along the way.

    • If you find yourself in the middle of a project and have hit some roadblocks that you can’t seem to find your way around on your own.

If you would like a 1:2:1 consultation to explore solutions for both residential and commercial projects, please get in touch.

  • The design process is a considered, creative journey that involves collaboration, experimentation, intuition and imagination. Here's a rough roadmap to guide you through the process, but keep in mind, I’m flexible and can tailor it to fit your unique project, ensuring we achieve the best results possible.

    • Initial Consultation: This is where you bring your dilemmas to the table, and I'll dish out how I can lend a hand. But more than anything, think of it like a first date—a chance to see if our energies sync up and if we click. No pressure, just good vibes!

    • Discovery Phase: Here's where I apply my psychology background to delve into your project's essence. The aim is to unearth every detail about you and your project, from its functions and activities to your aesthetic aspirations. Together, we sketch the blueprint of your space, considering its architectural landscape, constraints, and opportunities. This phase may involve site visits to better understand the canvas we're working with.

    • Concept Development: Working to ensure functionality first, I develop layout options to ensure that all your needs are considered and met. Then we layer this with a cohesive, authentic visual story through tangible samples and moodboards.

    • Design Presentation: Once we've settled on the layout and aesthetic path, I compile it all into a presentation just for you. This includes sketches and elevations, along with lists of furniture options for your consideration.

    • Sourcing and Procurement: This is the phase where I bring your design choices to life, handling all purchases and ensuring seamless delivery and tracking.

    • Project Management and Coordination: Here's where I roll up my sleeves, finding the right tradespeople and crafting detailed plans and schedules for all necessary work. I'll also handle the logistics of installation, sorting out the who, what, and where to ensure everything runs smoothly.

    • Installation and Styling: This is the moment where we breathe life into your space, placing furniture just so, hanging light fixtures, laying down rugs, and adding those finishing touches that truly complete the design.t

  • Understanding the cost of your project is a bit like putting together a puzzle—it's tricky without all the pieces. So, here's the scoop: I usually calculate my design fee based on the number of rooms you've got, and if any of them are multi-purpose spaces, I will adjust things accordingly. Then, for other stuff like sourcing items, managing the project, and getting everything set up, I charge by the hour. But don't worry—I'll give you a rough idea upfront once we've had a chance to chat about your vision.

  • Not every project requires full-scale renovation, I welcome clients who are looking to refine their current spaces. I'm dedicated to delivering the same seamless experience without the need for extensive disruption.

  • My aim is always to be as resourceful as possible. This is not only great for your budget but also for the environment. I don’t believe that a complete gut renovation is always necessary to achieve a desired outcome. Instead, I employ a multitude of techniques to salvage existing architectural features (think painting tiles, refinishing floors, etc.) if this is something that is aligned with your vision.

The same goes for your existing furniture (see question about furniture that you already own). And for that extra ounce of unique character, I love collaborating with local artisans to make things that are not only bespoke to you, but also strengthen the local economy and keep carbon emissions at bay.
