Having navigated more than 20 moves throughout my life, I empathise deeply with fellow creative dreamers embarking on their own unique journeys. Like many seeking a meaningful career, I have resided in homes resembling Jerry's humble Mouse-abode, tucked behind skirting boards and evading Tom's prying paws. Yes, absolutely! I have worked on a number of projects in Canada, the USA, Europe and across the UK. While I’m happy to travel to wherever you are, if necessary, there is also the option of working with me on a remote basis. This involves a lot more input from your side (you will have to measure your own space, for example), but I have developed elaborate methods that will empower you to implement the designs confidently. And should you hit a roadblock along the way, I’m always just a phone call away.

What deliverables I will provide to you depends on the scope of the project that we agree upon at the initial consultation. For example, if you are only looking for help with design and sourcing, I will not be helping you with project and site management or installation and styling. From my own experience, I know that furniture goes far beyond the practical and is imbued with memories. I love nothing more than to incorporate existing items, finding out of the box ways of breathing new life into them and incorporating them into your interior scheme in a way that maximises space and functionality, while adding those layers of meaning and history.

• Design Presentation: Once we've settled on the layout and aesthetic path, I compile it all into a presentation just for you. This includes sketches and elevations, along with lists of furniture options for your consideration.

• Sourcing and Procurement: This is the phase where I bring your design choices to life, handling all purchases and ensuring seamless delivery and tracking.

• Project Management and Coordination: Here's where I roll up my sleeves, finding the right tradespeople and crafting detailed plans and schedules for all necessary work. I'll also handle the logistics of installation, sorting out the who, what, and where to ensure everything runs smoothly.

• Installation and Styling: This is the moment where we breathe life into your space, placing furniture just so, hanging light fixtures, laying down rugs, and adding those finishing touches that truly complete the design.t

Understanding the cost of your project is a bit like putting together a puzzle—it's tricky without all the pieces. So, here's the scoop: I usually calculate my design fee based on the number of rooms you've got, and if any of them are multi-purpose spaces, I will adjust things accordingly. Then, for other stuff like sourcing items, managing the project, and getting everything set up, I charge by the hour. But don't worry—I'll give you a rough idea upfront once we've had a chance to chat about your vision.

Not every project requires full-scale renovation, I welcome clients who are looking to refine their current spaces. I'm dedicated to delivering the same seamless experience without the need for extensive disruption.

My aim is always to be as resourceful as possible. This is not only great for your budget but also for the environment. I don’t believe that a complete gut renovation is always necessary to achieve a desired outcome. Instead, I employ a multitude of techniques to salvage existing architectural features (think painting tiles, refinishing floors, etc.) if this is something that is aligned with your vision.

The same goes for your existing furniture (see question about furniture that you already own). And for that extra ounce of unique character, I love collaborating with local artisans to make things that are not only bespoke to you, but also strengthen the local economy and keep carbon emissions at bay.
